You Can Count On GOD

How do you think your life has changed in the past year? What things can you identify that make your life different? Would you say your life is better? Worse? What new things have you learned during the past twelve months? How did you learn them? Where any of the lessons the result of making mistakes? And what problems have you had to face? Did you get through the past year without any difficulties? Did you cry much? Laugh a lot?

Life is full of changes. God knows this. Even our relationship with Him changes. Yet, unlike the way things happen with others, with God there is never any change in how He treats us. In Haggai 2:4-5, God remained faithful to His people who had been unfaithful to Him. God tells them to “Take courage...all you people of the Land take courage... And work; for I am with you,’ declares the Lord of hosts. “As for the promises which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!”

Nothing in life is permanent. Some days are good, some are not. God, however, never changes. You can count on that. Today, thank God that He doesn’t change. Thank Him for His continuing love and forgiveness, even when you are not consistent.
